Jim Crawford

Jim is CoPeace’s director of communications. He has a strong digital media background, with more than a decade of experience in graphic design, photo/video, and public relations. Jim leads the messaging and development of external communications for CoPeace. He has driven the communications effort for CoPeace’s successful crowdfunding and accredited investor capital raises.

What’s your ikigai?  “To help people improve their understanding of the world around them, and enjoy a bit of each day."

Prior to joining CoPeace in January 2019, Jim served in a similar capacity for Basketball Travelers, Inc., an elite sports event and travel management company. During his time with the company, Jim created and maintained the brand and messaging for Division-I men's and women's basketball tournaments, international sport tours, and U.S. delegations to the Summer and Winter World University Games. Jim served as an assistant director of athletic communications at Washington State University. In his role within WSU’s athletic department, Jim supervised public relations, digital media, and social media of women's soccer and women's basketball. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from Washington State University. During his time as a student in the WSU Honors College, he completed a thesis on sport fan engagement on Twitter. Jim closely follows digital media and generational trends and is passionate about studying technology’s impact on the world. He lives in Pullman, Wash.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?  "Be curious. Not judgmental."
